Specify what channel to use on an outbound call via Virtual T1 trunk?

I am subscribed to a Virtual T1 with 24 channels on a SIP trunk.

I would like to specify what channels on the Virtual T1 that outgoing calls should use.

By default, it seems to start using channel 24 for outbound calls while incoming calls start using channel 1.

Is there a way I can tell trixbox to start using channel 8 for outbound calls and move down the channel list for each consecutive call i.e. 7, 6, 5?

SIP does not use channels,

SIP does not use channels, it uses sessions and they are not numbered so I am not quite sure what you are trying to accomplish.
