Trixbox aastra 6730i

Hi

This is my first trixbox server and I am having some issues trying to get a aastra 6730i telephone to connect to the server. i have my soft phone working perfectly I am just unable to get this device to work. Any help on this would be greatly appercaited.

What kind of help do you want? What steps did you take to configure the phone? Are you using the Aastra XML scripts?

Steps taken

As I said I do not really know much about pbx's but so far this is what I have done

rpm -q aastra-xml-scripts
rpm -e --noscripts aastra-xml-scripts-1.1.0-1
setup-aastra-xml

Then followed the setup there. Then on the aastra 6730i I went to configuration and set the "Primary Server" to the ip address of my trixbox. That is the part where I get lost the phone does not seem to do anything and the endpoint manager does not have the 6730i listed. Any help you could give would be great.

You don't use the endpoint

You don't use the endpoint manager and the script together, have you read the documentation?

The phones need to be cleared of any config. You need to have DHCP setup properly.

What Documentation do you reccommend

I Have tried to read some of it but I have not found anything yet on how to get phones to work with Trixbox if you could point me to the right documentation I am sure that I could get a lot farther.

So I just went though all that and it went right away. Thank you so much I have been trying this forever and could not get it to work.
