Hello everybody,

I have a SIP gateway "GXW4108" with 8 FXO ports connected to eight telephone lines, 8 trunks I configured with "with sip accounts" outgoing and incoming calls work fine. My problem is how to choose a well-defined port to release a call on this port? I found in the documentation Grandstream GXW410x I have to use the "Prefix to Specify Port (1 stage dialing method)," but I managed to do so.

Does anyone can help me on this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry for my bad English.

FXO port

Dear Sir,

In order to force the GXW-410x to place a call using the desired line, you will need to configure the following on the GXW-4108 :

Prefix to specify Port (1 stage dialing method) : Default is 99.
Syntax to USE this feature: prefix# (that is 99) + ch# (could be anything from 1 to 8) + dialing# will result in this call forwarded to FXO port (ch#) immediately.

For example if you want to call using the first line, you will need to dial 991+( The number ). Please keep in mind that you'll need also to add the prefix you're configuring on Trixbox at the beginning of " 991+( The number ) " in order to place an outgoing call via the FXO gateway.

Please let me know if you have any further question.

Best Regards,
