I've read quite a few threads about fax setups, and most seem to refer to the sender making a phone call, dialing an extension, then sending a fax??
Help me here, Im confused about the actual use from sender or receiver. I've never stood around at a fax long enough to know I was being prompted for anything....
I have a large property complex in which I'm trying to consolidate two fax lines terminated outside my T1, and one fax on my T1 routed to a punch block. We use large Panisonic MFP's for faxing.
1. Can I DID my fax line within trixbox, and route faxes to print at a certain ip/printer? ( I might have the complete wrong idea sorry)
2. What are suggestions for the external pots lines? I'm trying to eliminate POTS costs...
I guess I should say I'd like to keep the same fax numbers, but mostly keep the ability to identify the destination printer/fax machine to receive...
Any guidance is greatly appreciated, kind of a noob with fax servers and multiple lines...
