--- Copied from HELP forum...

Hello all you helpful people out there... I just wanted to bounce this question out there and see if I can get any hits... what could it hurt, eh?

I'm running Trixbox 2.6.2.3.5 with GXP - 2000 phones.

I have a main office number which rings the "Front Desk" phone, but that phone is also someone's extension. I'm trying to come up with a way to have the main office voicemail notification go that phone, but be stored in a separate "box".

That sounds confusing so let me give you hard examples:

XXXXXX4900 is the main office number. When someone dials that number, it gets nabbed by a ring group I set up and it hits the first non-busy extension on a list of four. If by chance none of them are available, it goes to voicemail. Currently, I have it set up to go to the "Front Desk" phone's voicemail which is extension 4932. I did some thinking and decided that wouldn't be a good thing because what if the person at extension 4932 doesn't want the main office number's voicemail clogging it up. However, I still want the voicemail notification (little red blinky light) to show up on that phone -- and then the person at that phone could use *98 and pick 4900 as the mailbox.

This is very difficult to communicate but I did my best.

Anyone have any ideas?

In extension 4932's device

In extension 4932's device options "mailbox" field try:

4932@default, 4900@default
