Active Channels...

Should I be concerned that "Active Sip Channels:" displays 1 or 2 sometimes when nobody is on the phone? I turned on SIP debugging and when I run show SIP channels from the CLI I get this or some other similar information.(I don't know if this is helpful or not)

Peer User/ANR Call ID Seq (Tx/Rx) Form Hold Last Message
64.2.142.31 intrinet 5dabc0ce765 00109/00000 unkn No
1 active SIP channel
Verbosity is at least 1

Earlier today I got an error message "All circuits are busy" while trying to make a call, and then later when the call went through I got "all circuits are busy" in the middle of the phone call and got disconnected.

I also noticed that when I

I also noticed that when I try dialing this number, it either rings for 30 seconds before asterisk even notices the call or it doesn't notice it at all and goes to my voice mailbox on vitelity.

I have the same problem

I have one of my SIP channels open all the time (it actually shows between 4 and 5 active channels) but using ASTassistant I see that there are 2 channels open and one phone "off the hook" when I "hang up" the channels they just come back again. Any ideas as to what is causing this? I did just update to FreePBX 2.3, so I am sure that that is the culprit (I had AST assistant before I upgraded with no such errors). Also, I am running TB 2.2.3, on an all VOIP network.

Thanks,
Shawn

happened to me

do this in root:

service asterisk restart
amportal restart

and you shouldnt see this problem

This worked for my problem , I still show 2 active channels , but only in TB Home page , and I have always seen them there. Using ASTassistant - all channels are now closed !

seemed to work for me

I showed 11 active channels with no one on the phone.
I did the restarts as posted and now it shows 6.
This did seem to elminate our problem, which was dead air when calling over SIP.
We use NexVortex as our SIP provider.
Thanks!
