Backup utility "Not Found" Error!

Hi guys,

Im new to trixbox :-) I have a newly installed TB & Webmin, I've setup: trunks, extensions, queues, voicemail, etc etc. I haven't allowed the ports to be forwarded on my modem 'yet' to allow SIP registration until I get everything sorted. One of the last steps to setting up the TB was to set the backup parameters, then backup. While in Admin mode, as soon as I press on the GUI button system>backup an error appears, "Not Found" & "Error: The requested address '/' was not found on this server."

I have reinstalled tbm-backup (via the packages link in admin mode), to avail.

I found a link from the trixbox forum (http://www.fonality.com/trixbox/devblog/backup-module-trixbox-28) to run at the CLI: 'yum clean all' then 'yum update'. This didnt help, the backup utility still didnt work. (this update actually caused a problem with the admin mode gui - it disappeared, I found another post (http://fonality.com/trixbox/forums/trixbox-forums/help/no-web-gui...) & ran the command 'rpm -e --justdb --nodeps tbm-GUIcore' then 'yum install tbm-GUIcore' - now I have the gui in admin mode back!! :-) )

I found this same post (http://www.fonality.com/trixbox/devblog/backup-module-trixbox-28) further down to try browsing to 'http://192.168.x.x/kindex.php/backup' , doing this brought up a backup page "Select a backup schedule". It seems one of the pages at least is there, im not sure what's missing . . . . . . . can anyone help?

p.s. Do I need to install FreePBX?

I am not sure why you are

I am not sure why you are having such difficulty. I personally don't use the trixbox Backup module however the latest is supposed to work fine.

To address two of your other questions:

1 - modem 'yet' to allow SIP registration

Why would you need to forward ports to register SIP? Are your phones not local to your trixbox? What is your securtiy strategy if you intend on opening the box up?

2 - Missing Menu - I don't think you had to do this, search the forum for "memcached"

3 - FreePBX PBXSettings is FreePBX painted green. Version 2.5 to be exact. You can use FreePBX backup up to version 2.6 and it works fine. Download from http://mirror.freepbx.org/modules install via PBXSetting/Module Admin/Install Local Modules

in reply....

Hey Skyking.. cheers for the quick reply

to answer your points...

1 - by that I meant registration with my voip provider, once i'm happy with how Ive setup trixbox i'll open up the modem port(s).
2- i'll look into memcached for future reference... cheers!
3- just before i went to sleep last night I realised I didnt mention what version of TB i have installed, its version 2.8.0.4 (going by the version number in the lower green banner in admin mode).... I noticed the System Status Version is 2.6.2.5. Is the install of FreePBX backup still applicable?

1 - Why would you need to

1 - Why would you need to open ports for a voice provider? This is a common mistake and a secutriy issue.

3 - Do you have the FreePBX or trixbox backup util?

I have...

Hi, I have downloaded version 2.8.0.7 from http://mirror.freepbx.org/modules/release/2.8/ , but havent uploaded it to the trixbox yet, was waiting on ur response.

1 - to be honest I havent tried setting up a pbx without fwding the ports in the modem, its something I was told & have read & had always done. (I currently have a soft pbx in use which trixbox will be replacing "very soon" ) . In saying this, Skype works without ports being fwd'd, so i guess VoIP should also work the same, i'll try it out later tonight!

i cant account..

Hi! I cant account for it but I know my VoIP provider has told me so, to prove/disprove this about the port fwd'ing I tried it out. I left the ports open & dialled my DID & the ph rang, I disabled the ports then called the same DID & i get the msg "the ph # you've called is not in service", so I re-enabled the ports & the ph rang. Might seem weird to u guys, but thats the way it is & its workin!

- But gettin back on to my initial problem, is it ok for me to upload the 'backup-2.8.0.7.tgz' file to my 2.8.0.4 version of TB? Just wanna make sure I'm doin the right thing? If somethin' did go wrong, can it be undone?

cheers! :-)

You need to add qualify=yes to your trunk definition.

Re: FreePBS 2.8 won't work.

I'd just like to be clear... Im new to trixbox.

Im currently using a PBX with different software (which works but has limited usability, hence the reason for the decision to go with TB).

Thankyou for letting me know that FreePBX 2.8 module wont work with TB 2.8.0.4 - this I dont understand why.. but....... this is why im here asking for help. If you would like to tell me why 2.8 module wont work I'd be most appreciative.. (im not being sarcastic btw) :-)

Your 'response' is in your 1st line, in your reply.

Even though I dont understand, Im assuming that the latest build of FreePBX version 2.6 (backup-2.6.0.3.tgz) will work?

Cheers

Re: I disabled the ports then

Thanks 4 the tip obeliks, i've changed the incoming SIP trunk setting 'qualify' to = yes instead of no. I'll see how it goes! :-)

I already explained it to

I already explained it to you, trixbox 2.8 uses FreePBX 2.5. The latest version of the FreePBX backup module that will work is the 2.6 you indicated.

re:

?? I have created 2 SIP trunks, each have incoming & outgoing settings, one is for my VoIP provider, the other is for my ATA/PSTN line.

I simply edited "qualify=yes" in the incoming setting of the SIP trunk for my VoIP account. Is this not right?

Error: The requested address '/' was not found on this server

I found that this error appeared when I had changed the default asterisk database user password on my Trixbox.

Edit the file: /var/www/html/maint/modules/backup/app/config/database.cfg and be sure that the 'password' setting under DATABASE_CONFIG is correct. If you have a different default login from the standard 'asteriskuser', you'll need to change that as well. There are two places to change the user name and password, so be sure to change both.

Save and try your GUI backup again.

You can test your password, of course, by logging directly into mysql from a prompt

# mysql -u asteriskuser -p

If you get logged in, you've got the right password.
