Call recording problem

lspci card is:

Network controller: Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN network controller [HFC-PCI] (rev 02)

I'm using it with misdn because Zaptel doesn't seem to be able to load these cards properly.
so my /etc/asterisk/msidn.conf file is:

[out]
ports=1
context=from-pstn
msns=*
senddtmf=yes

and all is working fine in terms of making a call, and recieving calls as per setting up the card in freepbx.

My problem is:

If I go listen to a call that has been recorded where the call has been made through the card, it sounds like it is in fast forward play. I have tried playing it on multiple pc's but it is the same.

If I setup a voip trunk to another pbx, or to a least cost routing service, the recorded call sounds perfect.

I have tried the following:

1. Making a call from a different phone (I use the snom 320)
2. Replacing the HFC card with a new card.
3. Reinstalling previous and new verisions of Trixbox. Currently I have : trixbox CE current release is 2.6.1.11 installed

the PC specs are:

CPU:
processor : 0
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 15
model : 3
model name : Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz
stepping : 3
cpu MHz : 2799.897
cache size : 1024 KB
cpu cores : 1

Ram:
512MB

Can anyone assist me with my problem. I need to keep recorded calls? I would really appreciate it.

Same problem here

It works on sipgate.at for inbound and outbound reocrdings in normal way,

but on ISDN Ports with mIsdn it sounds like fastforward pressed on an old casette recorder.

I have same problem

We've got the same problem on our system with call recordings. It only seems to be voice. When Music on Hold is played that comes through at normal speed.

Any ideas, has anyone fixed this yet? We used to have call recording working fine with the same ISDN cards with an older trixbox version and Zaptel. Now we're using 2.6.2 with mISDN and it doesn't work.

Bug fix in asterisk for this problem

I have found this link which discuses a patch for this issue. However I cannot install the patch because of how trixbox is complied by the looks of it:

http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=13005

Please can someone from Trixbox include this patch and allow us to fix this.

Cheers.

Joe

Garbled ISDN Call Recording - Problem still there?

Hi,

Has anyone fixed this problem yet? We've had problems on our Digium B410p recording ISDN calls. It seems the patch was applied in Asterisk 1.4.23, so hasn't reached Trixbox yet.

http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/old-releases...
[ See r149130-149266 ]

Perhaps the latest Release Candidates of 2.6 and 2.8 will have patched Asterisk ok? I'm downloading now to see ...

I've not tried building the latest versions of Trixbox from source to patch - is this still feasible?

Thanks

Alex

Garbled ISDN Call Recording - Problem still there?

I too face the same problem. I have installed at a customer TB 2.6.2.-2 with asterisk 1.4.22-3 and all recordings on the ISDN are going too fast. Recordings from extension to extension are normal. Also ztdummy is loaded and zttest gives 99.96%. I am thinking of upgrading the asterisk to the latest one available in beta repo 1.4.27 but I am not sure whether it will cause me any more problems. My system has 2 4-port Openvox ISDN cards (HFC-S multi).
Thanks,
Michael.

If you roll back to 1.4.19,

If you roll back to 1.4.19, or forward 1.4.26, then the ISDN call recording bug be sorted.
If you do choose forward, you may have issues with the new hold music license model. I didn't try to fix it, I just went to 2.8 and replaced the digium card for an epigi. There were significant issues with the 2 different cards in 2 different boxes with both mISDN and DAHDI, as well as the recording bug.
Epygi quadroISDN with 2.8 and all those issues are gone, or back to the 2.6 that came with 1.4.19, and you should be fine also.

f you roll back to 1.4.19,

If i update to the minor upgrade version of 1.4.22.4 (from 1.4.22-3) will the problem get sorted or not?
Thanks for your reply,
Michael.
