fresh install. I can ping google.com from the trixbox and I cant register. Instead I get: There is a problem with your network setup. We cannot show you available packages because we cannot connect to the internet from this box. Please make the neccessary adjustments to allow this box access to the internet.
I did netconfig and checked all my static mappings: ip, subnet, gateway, and dns are right is there a firewall in this install?
If you changed the network settings, you have to reboot or do
service httpd restart
Before the web tools will work properly.

I've been rebooting but that service httpd restart is good thanks
It still won't connect to register however and I have another 2.4 box that is connecting fine and seeing the packages. What other network trouble shooting can I do?

Fresh install. Modules downloaded and updated. A seperate 2.2.4 box goes right through when I register. I have no error messages in the status page regarding unable to login as mentioned above. What log should I be looking at to offer assistance with this problem? Tried to log in using ubuntu gutsy on seperate work station but no luck. Thanks.
I am having the same issues as MacAries exactly to the key on a 2.6.0.7 fresh install as well. kind of annoying. - any ideas??
edit - changing fqdn of server fixed it. System > Network
--my PBX is run on 2 V8's
I looked in System > Network but it wasn't clear which field to change or what to change it to. I am using opendns. Thanks for your help.
edit - I duplicated host name and dns settings from my 2.2.4 box and still no luck.
I got duplicate of MacAries error message now.
I downloaded Trixbox CE 2.6.0.7 and then did my own disk wipe and reinstall now able to register could be the version I installed first was missing driver for Compaq G1 DL360 network card
Did clean install and still unable to log in. Is there a log entry that I can offer up for help with this?
you need to edit the hosts file in /etc/hosts
just put the name of your machine (for example: machine1) at the end of the first row.
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 trixbox1.localdomain trixbox1 localhost.localdomain localhost machine1
