Crashes when using 2 digium cards

I have a test box running trixbox as I wait for a Dell SC440 to arrive. I have a Digium TE122B installed in a PCIe slot and a Digium TDM808B in the PCI slot and I am getting consistent crashing with this setup, sometimes after 30 minutes, sometimes 4 or 5 hours. If I remove either card the system will run smoothly. I tried disabling as much hardware as I could in the BIOS, and cat /proc/interrupts shows no conflicts.

Here is what dmesg shows me before the system goes down:

wctdm24xxp0: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 4 ms in order to compensate.
wcte12xp0: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 4 ms in order to compensate.
wctdm24xxp0: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 5 ms in order to compensate.
wcte12xp0: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 5 ms in order to compensate.
wctdm24xxp0: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 6 ms in order to compensate.
wcte12xp0: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 6 ms in order to compensate.

Can I blame the cheap MSI mobo and expect the SC440 to handle this setup without issue? Or should I replace the PCIe card with the PCI version? Or are multiple cards just a terrible idea if you want stability?

We do multiple cards all the time make sure all your drivers are up to date. Could be the MSI moteheboard but old digium cards are not known for their ability to multiply...

I am going to try another box tomorrow. I tried the Live CD in the same box and got the same results... I stopped it before it crashed, but I got missed interrupts after a couple hours.

Has nobody had any specific experience with 2 digium cards, 1 PCI and 1 PCIe?

I got this sorted out. The problem was not 2 cards, it was really just the TE121B. Digium replaced it with the TE122B, the standard PCI version instead of PCIe, and it has been running stable for about a week now.

Digium has acknowledged an ongoing problem with the TE121 PCIe card, referring to my case as "another" one of those.

Hi Toastmix,

I'm just experiencing the same symptoms, and we just found your threat here. I'm also using the TE121B and TDM800.

May i know which trixbox version you're using it ? and to who this digium card can be asked to be replaced.

Thanks,Rgrds.
