Hi

I am new to trixbox, asterisk and linux... I read the whole trixbox-2-without-tears manual which was very helpful in giving a general understanding of everything, but I was still wondering if the Community Edition has the ability to do call queues, meaning that calls come in and wait in a queue for the first available operator.

Thanks

Absolutely

Absolutely, it's a few clicks to setup in the "PBX Settings" section of Maint. On the left menu, click queues. Mouse over each option to learn what it does. Once you set it up and make the queue, you will have an option to select it when you make an inbound route. If you get stuck, post back and someone may be able to help you along.

Thanks

Extensions either go in the

Extensions either go in the static agent list or can be dynamic and log in and out of the queue.

Have you been to our wiki yet and looked at the 'trixbox without tears' guide?

Yes... I printed out and completely read thru Trixbox-2-Without-Tears from cover to cover (it is excellent), but I don't recall anything on queues or on how to login/logout of queues. I will search the forums and wiki somemore for login/logout

The queue agent login

The queue agent login instructions are also in the queue page tooltip. Just mouse over the queue number label.
