Fax to Email / Email to Fax Solution

I'm using Trixbox 2.0 and I noticed there is a fax option for each extension. I was looking on voip-info.org about a solution called Asterfax and I installed it. I'm having problems with ghostscript though. Is anyone using this solution?

basically what I would like is to be able to receive faxes and have them sent to an email, and i'd like my trixbox to recognize if its a fax call and do that appropriately before sending it to the IVR. is this possible?

the other thing is I want to be able to email some documents nd have them faxed, it seems to work through asterfax but nothing is sending fax tones. I am using my SIP gateway todo this and apparently they support T38 so it shoudl work?

Here is the solution that we use, we take about 15 to2 0 faxes per-day.

For print to fax I would use HylaFSP. Its not free but works very well and can use outlooks address book.

When faxing to the PSTN world thought your voip provider they must support g711 or the faxes will fail. You need to have the full 64K for faxing. You also need to check and see what your ISP's bidirectional rate is, you can check it here http://www.bandwidth.com . QOS is another thing that is very important if you have a busy internet connection. If you any thing else let me know.

Stop with the multiple posts on the same subject.

Try some of instructions in the wiki and the threads and then ask questions if you get stuck.

If you don't feel comfortable with installing software by hand post a bounty for someone to install it for you.
