Depends... Do you want the

Depends...

Do you want the VoIP inbound call on Line 1 to magically route directly to the PSTN, or do you want to have it travel through the PBX first? Why not just 'Call Forward' your Voip number with your SIP provider.

You don't really provide a clear picture of what you are trying to achieve, so any help will probably be as vague. In any event, if you are trying to interface your SPA3000 to your PBX, you may want to get this part working first. Do you have something this this already working??>> See: http://freepbx.org/support/documentation/howtos/howto-linksys-spa...

Yes I want to have it travel

I have looked at those instructions and got everything registered.

also Yes I want to have it travel through the PBX first.
Basically I have the Pstn setup to an extension in the trixbox so I'm able to make calls threw all the extensions on my xlite phone without problems but when I call from a outside line the trixbox won't pick the call.

Re: the trixbox won't pick

Re: the trixbox won't pick the call...

... Okay, now you are confusing me. Originally you wanted to have a VoIP call (Line 1) forwarded to the PSTN Line. But now you say "the trixbox won't pick up the call". Which call? A call from your Voip trunk, or one from the PSTN? Please help me understand your terminology.

Second: "I have looked at those instructions and got everything registered." Perhaps you LOOKED at the instructions, but you certainly didn't follow them. If you read carefully, you will see that the PSTN Line is configured as a TRUNK, not as an extension, and does NOT get registered. I may have lost an hour sleep last night, but I'm still somewhat alert!! Try again..

Cheers.

Ok I'll try this one more

Ok I'll try this one more time brother so bear with me ok...
I read those instructions like 30 time last night first off so I think I'm not that lost.

With my Spa 3000 I'm able to make and receive calls threw line one with no problems right RIGHT!

My Pstn line is connected to the trunk in my trixbox threw an extension and it sais it's registered so that part is ok.

Everything is set up fine but all I want is for the calls coming from line one to get switched over to pstn line so the Trixbox can handle the calls.

I was reading a sipuRa Faq pg AND ONE OF THE QUESTIONS WAS:

Can I call my Line 1 VoIP number and then hop over to the PSTN gateway?
A: Yes. You can setup this using the Call Forward feature of your SPAs Line 1.

Under User 1, set
Cfwd All Dest = gw0 (forward all calls to PSTN gw), or . . .
Cfwd No Ans Dest = gw0 (forward all calls to PSTN gw after a delay), or . . .
Similarly, you can hop over to PSTN gw only when called from certain numbers
using the Cfwd Selective feature of Line 1

WILL THIS DO IT??

I haven't attempted to

I haven't attempted to configure my SPA in the manner you suggest, for a couple of reasons.

1. As a stand-alone box, the SPA3000 can be configured (and used) to do exactly the opposite to what you are asking. That is - it can answer calls received on the PSTN Line, ask for a PIN number, then forward the call to a VoIP number over the internet. Thus, when you travel, say, you can have your home phone follow you, for example. There is a certain amount of security built in, to prevent "just anyone" from gaining access to your system. In this scenario, there is no Trixbox PBX involved. Just the SPA and a couple of connections.

2. If your are connecting the SPA to your PBX (like I am), then I don't quite see the point in attempting to bypass the great features Trixbox/asterisk can provide while forwarding the call. The PBX can simply forward ALL calls to your pre-determined number if you wish, or the PBX can intercept the inbound call with an announcement, IVR, Ring-group, or "Press X to have the system find me". I have mine set up with Time Conditions so that I only receive forwarded calls during "reasonable" hours of the day. All others go to voicemail. "All others" except for perhaps 2 CallerIDs that the system recognizes as being important enough to find me at any hour.

So, while your suggested approach MAY work, I haven't found the need to even try it out. I don't see why not. My best suggestion would be to ask 'the experts' at Voxilla.com... they have a whole forum section for Sipura/Linksys SPA devices. I'm sure they could answer that question.

Cheers
