Guys you really have to

Guys you really have to start giving more info so we can help. Like what version of Asterisk / TrixBox your hardware etc some really basic stuff
By chance are you using Sangoma Adapters for either analog lines or T1/PRI ?

I agree, need more information.

Amportal stop Asterisk, FOP and Zaptel. My guess is your Zap drivers are the problem. What kind of telephony hardware are you running?

Try just stopping zaptel 'service zaptel stop' before the shutdown and see if that works.

Same exact post

The same exact post is posted under "Open Discussion" :(

Anyway here is the answer I've posted there :)

Yeah I used to get that all the time, but later discovered that it goes away if you use the following command before the shutdown command: amportal stop

I am not why it is called "amportal" , but it seems that you must stop it before shutding the box down :)

Here's our answer from Open

Here's our answer from Open Discussion:

Not sure if you are also utilizing a Sangoma card, but we always use the following command to prevent kernel panics on reboots:

echo '/usr/sbin/amportal stop' > /etc/wanpipe/scripts/stop

Hope that helps!
