I've made recent changes to the mISDN wiki page for you who are trying to install mISDN in current available versions of TB1.2 and TB1.4.

There is no need of compiling Asterisk (particularly with Asterisk 1.4) as mentioned by mISDN official wiki page, since TB dev team uploaded to beta repos RPM versions.

To install mISDN (in most cases) you should now run 3 to 4 main simple steps which take at most 10 minutes to put your cards online and running with asterisk.

Comment about echo cancellation and misdn

stickypt,

You say say that echo cancellation is not needed with misdn. I respectfully disagree. If the whole end-to-end path of the call were digital (either bri, pri, sip or gsm) I would agree with you. However, when the other end of the line is analog (and especially if the line is old) one gets echo in the conversation and echo cancellation is very much needed.

It would be wonderful is Fonality would put rpms for misdn with (at least) oslec included. Just a thought.

Cheers,

Javier

Sorry

In that case I changed the statement from:
"There is a post where someone could make OSLEC available to mISDN but in most cases you shouldn't need it, but if so, go to this url and try your luck with it"
to
"There is a post where alabibomba could make OSLEC available to mISDN to do some echo cancellation, if you are having these problems try these instructions:"

Is it possible to you to do some more testing in a clean environment and post the results again so we could put them in the wiki?
