I have been working on getting an extension setup on an fresh install Trixbox CE 2.6. I have a soft phone working and also have an FXO module working to take incoming calls and I can make outbound calls with the softphone, but not I just can't get the FXS module to work, I just want to to call internal for now but no go. I do have the module power plugged in and it is a Digium tdm 410 with one FXO module and one FXS module. Port 1 is the FXO module, Port 3 is the FXS module. I have no dialtone on the anolog handset. The phone is a passive phone GE with no power adaptor. I have tested the phone on another line and it works fine, so it's not the phone. When I dial the extension fron the soft phone to the analog Zap phone extension it has a fast ring then hangs up and clears. I followed this portion of a tutorial:
Return to FreePBX in the trixbox Web GUI.
Click "Setup".
Click "Extensions".
Select "Generic ZAP Device" and click "Submit".
Fill out the form with something like this:
User Extension: 101
Display name: Office Speakerphone
This device uses zap technology. channel: 3
Click "submit".
Click the orange "Apply Configuration Changes" in the upper left.
I can now call between X-Lite extension 100 and the analog phone extension 101.
But nothing it is not working, when I first got the modules I had to send the FXO back because it didn't work do you think the FXS module is BAD?
Please help I've run out of tutorials and just hoping to fix it.
