2.2 is good to go....
You do understand that if you drop in the cd and bootup and press enter the drive is formated and ALL DATA is GONE...
CAREFUL : iso will format your drive , Hope you don't want to keep anything.
If this is a dedicated PC go for it. Mine work great a few bugs but working on it.
Thank you. I've intstalled it ..but just trying to work out why it can not find my net work connection.
You can't see the GUI or there is no network on your box? Or what

I can not see the GUI screen. and I followed the tutorial.
http://asterisktutorials.com/videos/Getting_Started_with_TrixBox/...
but the tutorial jumps straight to the trixbox user screen and my pc does not..........am i missing something here ? as i am still in the root@astrisk1
You need to be. When you login to the trixbox you will see an IP displayed.
On another PC, open a web browser and point it at that IP.
Report back.

if you dont see an IP displayed - yes thats because it didnt find your nic, drop in something like a 3com or intel pro100s - or try a different PC - usually older is better, newer is good, newest is probably not.
--my PBX is run on 2 V8's
I have included some graphics in the composure for you I hope this html reproduces them.
If not there is sufficient to get you up and running and cooking on gas! here goes copy time
You’ll need TWO pcs one for trixbox server and the second for your workstation to ‘talk’ to trixbox
Log in to trixbox server type in root/your own password
At the prompt type help-trixbox
Then, for setting up you network for TWO PCs 1 for server and the other PC to communicate with your trixbox server type in
netconfig [switch to your 2nd workstation and check the address of your LAN usually 192.168.*.*]
At the Windows desktop goto
Start/Run/type in cmd at the windows command line box type in ipconfig
In this case the Windows workstation has an IP address of 192.168.1.64 I then would use 192.168.1.65 for my VoIP server
Then at the network config box on my server I entered
IP address: 192.168.1 65
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.254
Primary name server 192.168.1.1
When you’re happy press enter then reboot your trixbox server...
To check connectivity on your LAN go back to the Windows based workstation back to
Start/Run/type in cmd at the windows command line box type ping 192.168.1.65
and you should get a positive result from your ‘ping’
Ping statistics for 192.168.1.65
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0%loss)
You can then download Mozilla Firefox to communicate with you server [Recommended]
To Log in remotely from my Windows based workstation I use successfully … Putty.exe
http://www.putty.nl/download.html select the putty.exe then log in as usual
using your root/password and newly found IP Address 192.168.1.65
