Hello to all,

i am trying to setup / replace my other PBX solution.

my solution is windows based, I am using LinkSYS ip phones, and a PATTON-SN2524 PSTN-VOIP GW ( 4 FXO) .

i have got some issues with my actual PBX and i want to try the TRIXBOX.

will i be able to use that with my above architecture ? i also have an old PBX that has an AudioCode (4E1) card on it .

awaiting your comments.
thanks

trixbox is an ISO install

trixbox is an ISO install and will wipe Windows off the machine. That being said, if Windows is running only dedicated to your current PBX, that shouldn't matter to you much... trixbox runs on CentOS, which it automagically installs when you pop the CD in there.
Make sure your hardware on the computer is compatible first:
https://hardware.redhat.com/
Look at compatibility for CentOS 5 if you are installing trixbox CE, look at CentOS 4 if you are installing trixbox Pro.

Linksys phones will work, no problem.

I would highly suggest installing trixbox on an old machine (even a PIII will do) and see if it meets your needs before wiping out your current install.

If you must use the same machine pick up another hard drive, remove the HD with the WIN PBX on it and install trix to the new HD.

If you are talking about the

If you are talking about the PATTON-SN2524 PSTN-VOIP GW as your pstn interface MAYBE.

I don't know the device but suspect you will need to create some kind of SIP trunk between it and the Trixbox to use it as the interface to your pstn lines.

The concept sounds possible but I doubt there will be much specific help available.

I'm not trying to put you off personally I'd have a go if you have time to spend researching.
