Hi,

I have a recent install of TB CE 2.6.0.0. Everything seems stable, but I've had to reboot it 3 times in the past 2 weeks. I'm not running anything out of the ordinary on it....no FXO/FXS or anything. All in all, its a pretty generic box.

the asterisk/full log reveals and nonstop repetition of the following message:

[Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': [Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: Found
[Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_additional.conf': [Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: Found
[Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': [Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: Found
[Jul 1 17:52:57] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: == Manager 'admin' logged on from 127.0.0.1
[Jul 1 17:52:59] VERBOSE[11147] logger.c: == Manager 'admin' logged off from 127.0.0.1
[Jul 1 17:53:01] VERBOSE[11155] logger.c: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager.conf': [Jul 1 17:53:01] VERBOSE[11155] logger.c: Found
[Jul 1 17:53:01] VERBOSE[11155] logger.c: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_additional.conf': [Jul 1 17:53:01] VERBOSE[11155] logger.c: Found
[Jul 1 17:53:01] VERBOSE[11155] logger.c: == Parsing '/etc/asterisk/manager_custom.conf': [Jul 1 17:53:01] VERBOSE[11155] logger.c: Found

and it did this from about the time it came up from the last reboot, (about 3:30pm Tuesday) until it crashed again (about 11:30 Tuesday night)

Other than that, I don't see anything suspicious in the logs. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Its just what I DL'd from

Its just what I DL'd from the 2.6.0.0 installer, didn't change anything.

Asterisk version 1.4.19-1

I usually boot to the non-SMP kernel on these boxes, though for the first time, I noticed 2.6 only has the SMP kernel. I wonder if that could make a difference?

do a yum upgrade, there is a bug in that version of asterisk

that combined with call queues and something else called a "sip spin" causes channel deadlocks.

I was having serious problems with such until the most recent update to version 1.20

so the latest release is

so the latest release is even worse. MYsql won't even start upon boot. It looks like the Via C7 cpu in this box just isn't cut out for CentOS 5. At least that's what I've gleaned from this post:

http://trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/open-discussion/2-6-x-c7...

So going back to 2.2.12....upgrading to freepbx 2.4 ... and doing a restore from the 2.6 box. Seemed to work pretty well on a spare hard drive I had installed...copying over my /var directory now just incase, getting ready to wipe it and go with 2.2.12. Kinda disappointing.
