use trixbox as sip gateway

hello im trying to use trixbox as a sip device through my voip provider is there any way i can do this?
under my voip service provider i have a phone number thats registered to a generic sip device not any specified
device. i would basically just like to use trixbox to route calls for me and use it as my sip gateway for a softphone. i think this may go along the lines of using trixbox as if it were an sip gateway ? please correct me if i am wrong
the info i have is
host=66.219.140.4
username=username
password=password

also thought it would be worth mentioning i have a cisco 186 ata as well if i can use this im not sure im just trying to get the a basic setup going on to play with for now

You create a SIP trunk as a

You create a SIP trunk as a 'peer' with your credentials and fill in the registration string in the trunk with your username and password.
