I need to know is there a way to do video conferences (more than 2 peers) just with trixbox and a softphone or IP phone (wich ones are recommended?).
E.g.: Divide my screen in 4 quarters, each one with a diferent image of a client in diferent locations (one in europe other in russia, USA and australia).

Thanks!

No, you need an MCU (Multi Conference Unit) to perform this function. I am not aware of any Open Source MCU's

Tandberg is the big player in this space.

alternatives to MCU

Hi....just to clarify, you have a couple alternatives to using an MCU:

Both the Polycom and Tandberg end units allow multi connections to be hosted on them, usually up to 4. For example the Polycom VSX7000 series has a multi-point option. You only need one of these to host, then the other endpoints can be PCs running H.323 compatible software.

Skype is working on a version that will allow hosting of multipoint conferences for video.

Vidyo is one of several hosted solutions that allow multi-point connections.
