VM Email

Ok, I set this up, its from /etc/mail/sendmail.mc

I'm not sure what this part means
"dnl # Uncomment and edit the following line if your outgoing mail needs to
dnl # be sent out through an external mail server:"

My mail does need to be sent out through an external mail server, what does Uncomment mean?

I changed the following within the the sendmail.mc file

dnl # Uncomment and edit the following line if your outgoing mail needs to
dnl # be sent out through an external mail server:
dnl #
dnl define(`SMART_HOST', `smtp.mail.companydomain.com')dnl
