Fitting it all together

Alright, so i've managed to finally get my new hudlite-server connect to the manager. (I had to manually add the account username 'hudpro' and the password into the manager_custom.conf file which i got from the output of the debug) I tried everywhere to try and find where this 'hudpro' username was defined but couldn't. Anyway got over that hurdle, now i'm just trying to understand the mechanism of how the communication works between the hud clients and the server.

This seems all through the IRCD, correct?

I see all the status text in the console when i run hudlite-server with the -debug parameter and there are no errors that i can see. However unlike my old configuration I do not see any status' changing on the hud client, usually i'd see who is calling me or who is busy etc.

What am i missing?

Sounds Like...

Sounds like you're trying to run it on trixbox 2.8... Hudlite does not work on trixbox 2.8 (or any asterisk 1.6 based system). It only works with Asterisk 1.4. the show channels command was depreciated in 1.6 in favor of core show channels

HUDlite has reached it's

HUDlite has reached it's end-of-life, it hasn't been developed in a few years. The next release available to users will be HUD3 which will be a paid product.
