Trixbox 2.8.0 (BETA2) HUDlite not connecting

Hi all,

I have checked all or nost of the posts associated with this problem and cannot find a resolution to this. I have a TB 2.8.0 Beta2 running (fully updated) with a restore (no other problems found) of a 2.6.2 box using FreePBX Backup & Restore v2.5.1.6.

As previously mentioned there are NO OTHER PROBLEMS with the restore portion and otherwise it is a clean install from the beta2 ISO (FYI- I only restored VM and audio). Now, with that out of the way, I can connect to the HUDlite server and all the appropriate lines light up with unconnected ones grayed out. The problem is that there is no activity being reported and I am unable to transfer calls make calls etc within HUD. I also have a Bria 2.5.1 Build 52689, installed on the same pc running Vista x64 Bus.. All seems to be working well with the obvious exceptions related to HUD. I have checked that 127.0.0.1 is getting through and it is. It appears that the initial registration of HUD is getting through but I suspect that no subsequent requests are getting through (although I have no prof of this). Is this an Asterisk 1.6 issue? Is this a Beta issue? Is this a Soft-Phone issue?

PS - I have also tried uninstalling HUDlite Server 1.4.32-2 and reinstalled 1.4.32-1, but no change (I did this through Packages).

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.

HUDlite will not be working

HUDlite will not be working in the beta. HUDlite is going to be completely discontinued and unsupported. HUDlite was built for asterisk 1.4, and is therefore unable to work with the beta (using asterisk 1.6). Since HUDlite is no longer being developed, we decided to just wait for HUD3 to be finished for trixbox CE (shouldn't be too long now!) and then that will be the standard.

They changed all the

They changed all the Asterisk API messages in Asterisk 1.6 so unfortunately there is no easy way to make it work.

Why should we think something has changed ??

can we have an update on HUD3? When will it be released? This is the major thing preventing me from going to asterisk 1.6 and CE 2.8

HUD3 CE is not ready for production. Please also know that there is still no official announcement for how much HUD3 will cost. My advice is if HUD is important to stay on HUDlite until pricing options and HUD3 has been officially released for 2.8.
