HUDlite does not work on

HUDlite does not work on trixbox CE 2.8. It has not been actively developed for a few years, and in trixbox 2.8 we moved to Asterisk 1.6 which has several important SYNTAX changes in the core that break compatibility with older software (like HUDlite).

So you will need to use something else (or downgrade) :(

Then why is it included with

Then why is it included with the latest version of Trixbox ??? UGH! Anyone recommend something else as simple as hudlite for end-users? Not really finding much I like.

Why is hudlite not being worked on anymore, seemed like the perfect end-user app?

Have you taken a look at

Have you taken a look at iSymphony? It works fully with Trixbox 2.8 (Asterisk 1.6).

But I'm having trouble getting it to work as expected. Not sure why, have followed the instructions but can't get extensions to get built.

Step by step iSymphony setup for Trixbox 2.8

1) Download the 2.1.15b rpm and client from Here
2) Download the latest iSymphony FreePBX module from Here
3) Install the server "rpm -Uvh rpm file"
4) Configure the path to your JRE if different than /usr/java/latest "/opt/isymphony/server/config.sh"
5) Start the server "/opt/isymphony/server/startup.sh"
6) Verify that it is running by typing "ps aux | grep java" and see if there is a line ending in iSymphonyServer.jar if not check the iSymphony.out.log and iSymphony.err.log in opt/isymphony/server/logs/ to see the cause for the startup failure.
7) Go to your module admin in Trixbox and see if you have the Asterisk API module installed if not install it.
8) Upload and install the iSymphony FreePBX module.
9) "Apply Configuration Changes". Note this may take some time as it is building the iSymphony config.
9) Install the iSymphony Client on your workstation and select profile connection when prompted by the initial setup wizard. Your credentials will be as follows.

Host: IP or Hostname of your PBX
Port: "50000"
Location: "default"
Tenant: "default"
Username: your extension number
Password: "secret"
