4 Trunks 1 outgoing

Hello all,

Not sure if there's a way to randomize the available trunks for the outgoing rules or not... We have 4 trunks, which can handles four concurrent calls... When the first one trunk is in used, is there anyway to have trixbox randomly select the non-use trunk before adding another channel to the very first picked trunk? Or does it already do this and it's not working for me?

Please advise.

Thanks!

The only way you can do that

The only way you can do that is to limit channels to 1 per trunk so when the 1st trunk will be taken, it'll use the 2nd and so on.

Maybe a way to avoid having only one channel per trunk is to create 1 trunk per available channel in your trunks and then in your outbound route configure the priorities with something like this :

1 Trunk A channel 1
2 Trunk B channel 1
3 Trunk A channel 2
4 ...

(with each one being a different trunk)

The only pitfall I can see to this is if the hardware (or account) used by the trunk refuses to be used by more than one trunk simulteanously.

Let me know if it helped
