when l *77 from my phone doesn't work. any idea what is wrong

Are you trying to make a system recording?
Yes
Go to "system recordings" in your PBXconfig. Now type in the extension from which you will be recording and hit the "Go" button to the right of your typed extension. Dial *77 from the phone and you will hear an immediate beep. Say your recording and hit # when done. At the bottom of the "system recordings" page, you will want to give your recording a name and click on "save". Now your recording should show up on the right hand column underneath "add recording".
That is what I was doing. Phone is working I can make call and recive call from pstn. I dial *98 voice mail works. I don't know why *77 is not working. One more thing when I make call I have some sort of static my phone but other end is fine. When I receive call than there is no problem no static on both end. so now I have total two questions.
I am getting some sort of static when I make phone call. The static is on my end. Other person can't hear the static. When some calls me there is no problem at all.is there any way to fix it.

True PAP2 Dial Plan is wrong. Scott why I am getting some sort of static on my outgoing calls. when someone calls me it works fine.
