AAC+ Stream for Music on Hold

Is it possible to use a AAC+ stream for music on hold?

I have not found anything online on how it do it, or if it's even possible.

Currently I stream an 8kbps mp3 stream just to server trixbox, but if I could just use AAC+ as I do for serving listeners online, it would really be nice..
