Hello,

Is there any way to have your SIP registrations reload automatically on a set schedule? I have a VOIP provider that looses registration every few days and i have to be manually going into the asterisk CLI to force a sip reload. Is there any way that I can automate this in the SIP trunk configuration for that provider?

Thanks!
Eddie

You should fix the problem

You should fix the problem instead of putting a Band Aid on it.

Who is the provider? You should never have to do a reload. How much traffic do your push through? Does a pattern exist to the reloads? Are the trunks actually loosing registration? Asterisk automatically tries to re-register.

What type of firewall? This sound like a persistent NAT issue to me.

The provider is gafachi. The

The provider is gafachi. The traffic that i push is not all that much. It's an office of about 30 people and they do maybe 8 concurrent calls max. There is no pattern to the registration problems. Sometimes it will be a few days, other times weeks before it happens. When i login to the CLI and i look at "sip show registry" i see it stay on "auth sent" and then when i issue a sip reload, it registers right away. I have contacted the provider in the past, but they say the issue is not on their end. This is happening to me with multiple customers that I use gafachi with. I am using a "monowall" firewall. I just need to fix this issue for now and if a band aid will fix it for now, then so be it. Otherwise, i have to be logging in all the time to check up on the registrations.

Thanks!

Yes, it is 2.8. I don't

Yes, it is 2.8. I don't think this is a bug with asterisk because it only happens with Gafachi. On this same server, i run 3 providers; Teliax, Gafachi, and Voicepulse. The only one that has this registration problem is Gafachi. The other two providers stay registered all the time with no problems.
