I would like to use Freepbx to force a Zap station on a T1 to only use a FXO port on the TDM for outbound fax. I never want the channel to use a VIOP trunk. How can I force that station to only use Zap 28 (TDM400 FXO port 4)
From what I am seeing in FreePBX, you only have one set of outbound dialing rules for all stations on the server.
Hope, ya'll can help!

Thanks,
Doug.

Just create a separate Zap

Just create a separate Zap group, then a create trunk that only uses that zap group.

Next create an outbound route, linked to that trunk which uses a non-standard prefix for outbound calls.
i.e. instead of a 0 or 9 prefix, try something else which is unique in your outbound routes page

Whatever you use to fax, just prefix the number with the one you just created so that it always chooses the 1 outbound route, and therefore the trunk with your desired zap channel only.

There is an unofficial

There is an unofficial module for FreePBX called custom contexts that will work this out easily. You might want to Google, "FreePBX custom contexts".
