Ext SPA941 registered with Trixbox, connect to call, but no audio after call connects

Hi all,

Need some help. Got the Trixbox up and running, trunks and able to make calls and receive.

I have 2 SPA941 and Polycom 330 on LAN and works great.

I can get x-lite to work remote/off-site and on LAN, make calls and ext. calls.

BUT when the phones are external :
It's just the SPA941 and Polycom 330 do not have any audio when outside the LAN but they do register and connect.

Do I need to post settings? Config's?

Port 5060-1 and 10000-20000 are open.

Odd that the x-lite worked but here is what solved it:

You need to set the STUN

You need to set the STUN settings in the phone to point to a STUN server.

Depends on your network setup

The configuration to make it work depend on your network setup.

You need to know 2 things :
The network/internet setup you have on the Trixbox Side : Do you have a fixed Public IP or a dynamic one, is the Trixbox behind a Nat of some kind ?
You also need the same infos on the phone side

Depending on those 2, I can suggest you a config setup that works.
Stun will only solve your problem with one particular combination and it's not the most likely one.
