Hello,

Is there a way to create a general voicemail box without it showing up in the users? We run a tech support call center and would like to have a support mailbox, but don't really want it showing as a standard user.

When you say "user", you

When you say "user", you mean in the extensions list?
Try the Voicemail Blasting module. I never personally tried it out but if that doens't work then you can work with manually making a mailbox in sip_custom.conf

Let me know if voicemail blasting didnt work and ill guide you

To install the module, go to PBX settings and Module Admin. Check for updates online and youll find the module in the list.

sip_custom.conf??)

Voicemail boxes are configured in voicemail.conf. I am not sure if FreePBX overwrites that file or not, I think it may be the exception and it reads the text file and rewrites it.

From personal experience,

From personal experience, FreePBX does overwrite the voicemail.conf file and others as well after upgrading to different versions (example, 2.4 to 2.5)
