May I know how to setup my trixbox to multiboot with my windows on the same PC? I still want to keep my windows on the same pc just for occasional uses.

multiboot

Well you do understand you will need PC to manage the TB from right??

You would need to use a boot loader for this, but as you are asking I would assume you are not a "techie". For a windos user it would be partition magic.
The best thing is to buy a second PC out of the news paper or ebay I found P4 Dell's for 135.00 plus 22.00 shipping on ebay last week

You COULD use vmware FREE server and run windows on linux or linux on windows.

Sorry, I think you made

Sorry, I think you made wrong assumption. ;p
Currently trixbox seems to destroy everything and install on the MBR. I usually use gparted since it is free. The reason I can't use vmware is that I need to run some programs which requires the E1 card(vmware can't access PCI devices natively)

Second Hard Drive

I would remove your existing hard drive that has windows on it. Add a second hard drive and install trixbox. Once trixbox is installed, re-install the windows hard drive as slave or secondary. Modify the boot loader in trixbox to give you the option to boot to the second hard drive. (on some computers you can just set the bios to ask which device to boot from so you don't need to modify the boot loader.)

or

Install x windows on trixbox and then run windows from vmware. Although not sure if this would give you direct access to program you card. Oh.... nevermind. You already said this won't work ;)

One more idea

Another thing you could look into is BartPE... essentially it is a Live CD of Windows.

http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/

You could install the software you need on this, then just boot from the CD to configure your card.

wrong assumption... I think not..

You COULD install TB to a drive and then install the vmware server and load windows as a VM.
IF your box can handle it CPU / RAM wise.

You COULD use vmware FREE server and run windows on linux or linux on windows.

But still I suggest buying a second PC.
