Remote extensions

I am having an issue with a remote extension. It is a Linksys SPA941 phone configured to talk to the phone system using the external IP. I have 2 other extensions configured in this manner that work without fault. With this particular extension it will register the first time you program the phone but registration then fails after about half an hour and no amount of reboots will get it to reregister.
The only difference I can see is on the PBX Status page showing all the registrations. For this particular one it states it is using port 38789 when all the others including the other remote extensions are using 5060 as normal.
Does anyone know why this may be?

Sounds like a firewall issue to me.

What type of router is the remote phone behind / what kind of firewall is at the main location where the PBX is located?

The router that the remote extension is behind is a draytek vigor 2820, the router at the other end is a normal linksys router.
