Introduction to Bridge2skype
Bridge2skype is an enterprise-class skype gateway,
which can support up to 30 or more concurrent calls
on a system of 4G RAM and 4-core intel CPU.
The bridge2skype is not software, but dedicated equipment,
including software, hardware.
Bridge2skype can be used as extra inbound or outbound trunks
for PBX or Call Center.
Bridge2skype provides the mapping function between skype account
and Vtel number (i.e. Virtual Telephone number ). So the callee can
identify the skype caller via Vtel number displayed on an ordinary
old style POST telephone. This feature is very useful for Call Center,
only by identifying the caller, the call center agent can provide the accurate
service to the skype caller.
The Vtel number is automatically created permanently for a given skype account
when skype user makes the first call to bridge2skype. The E.164 like Vtel number
will be passed to the PBX system via FSK or DTMF depending on the setting.
