To answer your question, I

To answer your question, I don't know how big a server can you fit up you a** with your head stuck up there?

Did you really expect an answer to this question with so little input?

Is this question representative of your planning and investigation for the project?

Have you read any of the implementation documents in the wiki?

What enterprise would consider switching 50 user to an Open Source platform without performing the due dilligence?

Paid version or free version

Paid version or free version you still have to design your implementation. I can tell English is not your first language so my abrupt humor was probably lost on you.

Do you have experience with any type of phone systems at all? You have to start with a network capable of transporting VoIP. Look at what features your enterprise will use then look at usage patters (number of concurrent calls). Are you planning on recording any calls? Do you want to use an internal card or an external gateway for the E1?

You need to purchase a variety of phones and have a user focus/usability meeting to decide what type of handsets you want/

What type of environment are the users in IE: call center, retail, professional?

Is the server going into a rack or will it be set on a shelf? Is power consumption an issue? Is this the first Linux box in your network?

These are just a few of the questions you need to answer.

Hi Scott, Answer to your

Hi Scott,

Answer to your questions are yea I am not experience with any type phone system. I had worked with simple PBX and I know how it works . We are ready to change our infrastructure for VOIP and we are looking for call centre and of course it is the first Linux box in our enterprise. I am pointing out some of the needs unders. If you can kindly suggest me more on it.

1- Connect al the 3 branches (a, b & c) together through IP phones (b and c will have internal extensions).
2- Control all the calls through the main call center in shuwaikh
3- Transfer our current phone line available at ahmadi and al rai to the call center to shuwaikh in order to help to publish our current commercial number.
4- Install call center software integrate with our data (SQL).
5- The software will automatically pop up the customer details when phone rings.
6- Automatic machine answer and direction.
7- ISDN & E1 configuration
8- Detailed statistic report of calls
9- Call recording feature.
10- 85 employees phone
11- 25 supervisors phone
12- 14 manager and call center phone (5 phone extensions and 5 headset Bluetooth or etc..).
13- Any extra features you can provide.

That is a large project.

That is a large project. The software is free, you either need to learn how to setup up yourself (start with a small lab) or hire someone that can help you with the task.

It may also assist if you can find a consultant that speaks your native language. Make sure you get references from the consultant of similar successful projects.

Laughing "consult us"

Laughing "consult us" that's a bit of a language barrier issue, not quite sure what the means.

Anyway, personally I have consulted in the UAE and in Pakistan for Wateen's VoIP deployment recently. If you are serious about a professional engagement you can send me a private message with your full contact information (including title and summary of authority on this project) and I will have our VP of business development contact you.

We also utilize WorldCue Global Risk Management and would have to assess if we can send personnel to Kuwait.

I have been out of the global consulting gig for the last couple of years as I have been growing a company in the US. Always willing to look at interesting opportunities.
