Hello All,

I have a trixbox running on a Songoma T1 PRI card. There are 9 sip phones registering to the server that sits on a local gigabit network. The box has plenty of power, its a DUAL core 2.4ghz with 2gigs of ram.

Here is my issue: When i have about 5 people on the phone at once, i get this issue where the caller on the other end sounds garbled. Almost sounds like a robotic voice. It does not happen on all calls, but 1 out of 4 calls have this issue. It seems to occur most often when there a more people on the phone at once. Is this issue PRI related or can it be the PBX box itself? It seems to be that the server is running very light. I barely get any cpu usage over 5% and the memory usage is really low. Is there anything in my configuration that i should be checking to confirm?

Thanks!

Getting hardware right can

Getting hardware right can sometimes be a lot harder than people know.

In the server's bios, is there option named PCI Latency Timer? If so, what's its setting?

Are there other pci or pci-e cards in the server?

What network card/chipset is in the server?

There are no other PCI cards

There are no other PCI cards in the system other than the single port Digium T1 card.

PRI

Sounds like the PRI is slipping. Check timing source.
