Another Trixbox CE deployment as an IVR server.
One of our client have a Cisco Call Manager (CCM4) Deployment with 103 Extensions and ISDN PRI30 Trunk. Everything was fine until management decided to go for a SIP trunk from a service provider for international calling. The trunk was ordered and delivered with a Cisco 2821 router.
Now the challenge came in; they wanted an IVR (Auto Attendant) for SIP trunk and CCM didn't have a IVR module. If they buy and integrate the same it's huge cost. We provided a solution.
For Inbound Cisco 2821 --> Trixbox --> CCM --> IP Phone
For Outbound CCM -->Cisco2821 --> International Destination
On Trixbox we created two SIP trunks 1. to Cisco2821 and 2. to CCM, with no registration. Configured Cisco2821 to send all inbound calls to trixbox IP and CCM to allow incoming SIP calls from trixbox IP. Also created all extensions (SIP) on Trixbox as they are on CCM with dial context: SIP//.
Created IVR on Trixbox and Inbound route.
That's all. All smooth operations. Thanks to Trixbox forums.
