I am a network admin by trade who's been dabbling in the Asterisk world for about a year now. One day I was so angry at one of my Nortel BCM's that I said to myself "there has to be an easier way to do this" and after a couple of Google searches I ended up here. Long story short, I have three clients for whom I have deployed systems. They are faily small deployments, 3, 11, and 35 stations. All of my clients use Digium cards or the like to access the PSTN. The small sites are homebrew systems, the larger site is an actual Trixbox Enterprise system (which works excellent by the way!).
Awhile back I signed up to be a bandwidth.com affiliate, wanting to give my customers the full VoIP experience, and save them some $ on long distance. The bw.com service seems to work well, the price for my client is right, and of course the monthly residual was a nice touch. However, I've recently been informed that the monthly residuals have been nixed in favor of a one time payout when the VAR makes a sale.
Now I will always put my clients first, so if a one time payment from bw.com is all I get, so be it... but I wanted to ask those of you with experience if you know of SIP trunking providers out there that have both excellent service AND pay their VAR's monthly residuals. I would be very interested in checking that out.
Thanks to all of you with experience who are willing to share with a relative newb.
