Greetings everyone, allow me the pleasure of introducing myself. I have been a techno geek for 13 years having worked in IT first as a helpdesk technician before moving onto network administration duties; at one time I considered myself pretty sharp earning my MCSE 2003. I now have a new course in life as I entered the ministry 2.5 years ago and serve as a Children's Pastor. Having taken my IT skills with me I have been able to bring our church up into the 21st century on many aspects, next of which is the phone system.

We are a very small office, right now we have four phones and I am looking to expand our capabilities and Asterisk looks to be the platform to do it and trixbox thus far has won out on my testing. Now getting to the point of my post, the SNOM 220s are dirt cheap on eBay right now and I was wondering about their integration into a trixbox environment. Our needs are basic and I understand that trixbox takes care of a lot of the features we are looking to implement but I also know that sometimes there are issues with certain phones not working correcting or making configurations difficult (Cisco Phones and visual voicemail led) for examples. Does anyone have these phones setup and working in an environment that could provide some feedback, I have queried this forum as well as Google and haven't found anything answering questions I have to my satisfaction. Thanks in advance.

Ryan

They work fine, even the

They work fine, even the BLF's.

Make sure you get ones with US lettering.

BTW the Cisco MWI issue was solved years ago.
