Analog trunks from Nortel Meridian Option 61 locking up

I have a test trixbox CE 2.2 with 2 analog extensions from my Meridian Option 61. I have programmed the trixbox with a time condition so that when a call comes in it will transfer to the on call person's cell for one of our departments. This part works fine. But when the call terminates trixbox does not release the zaptel channels.

In doing research I believe that the Meridian is not giving disconnect supervision. If using two extensions off the PBX they lock up. but if we use one pbx extension and one POTS line from bell it releases fine. Same with if both lines are POTS.

Does anyone know how to make trixbox recognize disconnects without upgrading the cards in my PBX?

BTW my test system uses an OpenVox A400 (knockoff of the Digium TDM400) with three FXO cards. This is only a test system. If we go live we will use a Trixbox appliance with Sangoma FXO cards

I have fought that one too

Basically, you need someone proficient in Nortel Speak ( Load 97, load 101, etc...) and depending on which software release you have they will need to set disconnect supervision type on the Nortel analog ports to match your card.

I would try to look at using a PRI and connect the 61 via T1 signaling over using analog ports.

Also, I would try an alternate method of inbound routing such as an IVR to test multiple calls in as to test it.

Using Nortel analog to connect to FXO

You can Try changing in LD 10 in the 500 set programing CLS LDTA = loop disconnect allowd. However this will not provide a positive disconnect it only sends dialtone return to the fxo card so that this card will recognize the dialtone and then disconnect. PRI t1 works great for an alternative solution.

M1 Systemp only properly supports ground start trunks

If you are programing up 500 sets in LD 10/20 they act as FXS ext.

If you setup a route and setup COT trunks and program them to use LOOP start it never really work correctly. The standard Anlg/mwi card doesn't support disconnect supervision.

I would also suggest connecting via PRI T1 setup as a TIE trunk.
