Re: BRIstuff for Asterisk 1.2.14

On Florz's patch:

- It takes the same time to build with the Florz's patch as without, so to try building with it should not be to onerous.

- If this does not work for you then to rebuild without the patch will 'reset' the config files as if you had never used the patch.

- Florz's tends to release updates infrequently (see here) and these are targeted on a specific a specific version of zaptel.

- The patch tends to benefit lower powered systems as it reduces the interrupt load.

Tanks W1zz, i know that.. :)

I currently have a machine with Asterisk 1.2.10-BRIstuffed-0.3.0-PRE-1s with the last Florz patch.. If something goes wrong.... i´m f***** That´s why i haven´t tested the patch yet :-)

The patch version that i installed solved some problem´s (buffer overflows, underrun and some audio drops), but i also had to increase the pci bus latency..

There's nothing to stop you re-building an older version.

Use the -a option to specify the version of asterisk and then add your other switches as normal.

You should also find that I re-number older version of zaphfc.ko so you don't lose a previous build (well not for 10 versions).

Dummy manual

Hi all,

Is there somewhere a step-by-step manual for a real dummy, beginning user?
I have a fresh, new 2.2.4 Trixbox CE installation and want to ad a junghanns Quadbri ISDN card.
I've found some info on the junghanns website for jumper settings so that whent fine.
Now the card is in the trix.
From there on, is there a driver installation manual and so forth to get it to work?

Thanks for replying.
