Cologne HCF ISDN Card

Hi,

I have been working on AAH 2.7/2.8 for the last couple of weeks trying to get this Card to be picked up by Zaptel.

It appears in lspci

01:02.0 Network Controller: Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN Network Controller

Same thing happens with Trixbox

Whenever I INSTALL-ZAPHFC it Kernel Panics and everything falls over.

I have looked and looked for a suitable solution and tried all the suggestions on numerous builds but nothing, I dont seem to be able to get it listed in /proc/zaptel*

Can anyone help my hair is starting to turn grey.

Try the misdn drivers (www.beronet.com) and the vISDN drivers. I would certainly like to know your results as my 4port ISDN card is now restricted access having gone into rpoduction

The Bristuff drivers are flawed as reported in various places. Digiums new active 4 port ISDN card will probably be using the mISDN drivers and vISDN is EuroISDN certified.

Would be nice if you could do some testing on both for us in the forums.

Thanks for the help guys, turns out it was a process problem, I wasnt doing things in the right order.

spinlock.h was indeed the issue, I had failed to get round it because I had repeatedly added the file to the incorrect source version.

If you do a trixbox-update.sh update before you do the spinlock ensure the version you are running is the version of source you put the file in.

Once that was done it all came together. This card I got from Ebuyer for under £20.00 so it seems like a good idea for smaller installs of Trixbox which will take most of thier trunks from VOIP.

For information I've had reports that install-ZAPHFC works with the Beronet multiport cards as well as the Junghanns ones.

Please post links to the reported flaws of the BRIstuff drivers?

I would be interested in understanding these.
