Hi All,
I have a trix 2.8.0.4 system.
All things are up to date on it. SIP trunks work fine and PSTN works.
Only problem i have is that when a using the PSTN lines i have horrendous echo !!!
This card is legit Digium with the Hardware Echo Cancellation module.
I have tried uncommenting echocan none in /etc/dahdi/genconf_parameters
When i reload dahdi, in /etc/dahdi/system.conf i can see that all the mg2 cancellers have gone so i assume that hardware cancellation is working.
It is NOT.
Any ideas ???
I have used OSLEC on other Asterisk installs and that was fine with TDM400 cards with no hardware cancellation, but from reading around it looks like OSLEC doesn't work on 2.8. Is this true ??
I would happily swap cards and use OSLEC but at present when i try that with another card i get a few seconds of bad echo that goes away and then randomly comes back.
When using TDM400 with both MG2 or OSLEC, i have
echocancel=yes
echotraining=800
Should i drop the training value ??
Would really like to know why the hardware one doesn't work. Have paid good money for that feature.
Does anyone know if GXW410x (Grandstream FXO Gateway) works with 2.8 ???
I really want to stay with trixbox (previoulsy used Druid) and Asterisk 1.6 but this echo problem is a real worry.
Edit: For reference, i know the card is fine as it works perfectly with Druid OSE.
