Wasn't it publicly stated it would be released this month. Does this still hold true or has it been delayed more?

Nope, we have pushed it back. We are re-working the license model based on feedback from people we have discussed it with. This affects a lot of the authentication and module enabling code. The good news is that Fonality has completely switched to HUD3 internally now meaning that the server and the client are working really well and are pretty stable. We are in a feature freeze and are working out a few issues but the licensing and authentication piece is a big change from the original design and we really felt that it just wasn't going to be well accepted by the CE community unless we changed it. I do not have a new date until i get word back from engineering on a date for the new changes.

We are insisting that the licensing for HUD3 on CE NOT be dependent on contacting Fonality servers. We want a license key system so that systems with no internet access can use it.

That's what I was hoping for...We have been using iSymphony (which we like quite well) but are looking forward to seeing what HUD can do, and to having more options for our customers!
Let us know as soon as it's ready and I would be happy to Beta it - I am sure others would too!

Astassistant just dropped a new beta. It is by far his best release yet.
If you haven't seen it I would suggest taking a look - www.astassistant.org
It has many of the features everyone was waiting for in HUD3. It does not scale as well as HUD as it is client side and loads up the Asterisk Manager quickly.
For small-medium deployments it works great.

I called fonality and on their own voicemails and system prompts it say "February 20th you can download the HUD 3 software"
I am on the link again for the download from the admin page(s) and still no HUD3. I also left several messages at billing to have a return call. I called to purchase tech support, but if theyc an't return a call before they get our money I seriously doubt they will deliver the service after they do get our money. I do not understand their business model and practices. We all know what happens when a business has poor service and fails to deliver as promised to their clients. It eventually leads to the doors getting slammed shut and with empty buildings. Fonality - do you ever check the forums you moderate? Do you ever answer the phones and do you ever return phone calls?
Does anyone know of any number to call for Fonality Support? Does anyone know if Kerry G freelances or if he is in the business somewhere else? He was really the only one that took this forum seriously.

Just call the fonality # on their website. It gives you a call menu and depending on your system follow the steps to get to support. Then jus request it be added to your admin page. Wala... I got it days ago.

HUD3 on CE

We are working hard on HUD3 for CE and we will be charging for it. HUD3 is a complete rewrite from HUD2 the only similarity is the look and feel. HUD3 is built with a much more scalable a robust architecture. We have been working to get HUD3 working flawlessly on trixbox pro. This was completed a few weeks ago and HUD3 is now available to trixbox pro users. We will now turn our attention to HUD3 for CE. I want to make sure we meet the next announced HUD3 release date. So I will not announce a date until I am sure we can meet it. HUD3 for CE will be done by Q3 this year. As for the exact date it will be announced as soon as I have it.
In the mean time you can buy a pro system if you want HUD3. HUD3 comes free with all trixbox Pro software packages.

Where is it ? I have checked every link I can find on the trixbox and fonality site ? I can't find any place to actually download the HU3 you say is available.

What version of trixbox do you have? If you are still on 2.x then the updates have not been pushed to your server. If you are running 4.x then the update has been pushed down and all you have to do is log into your control panel and download HUD3. HUD queues is not included in the initial install of HUD3. It is an additional addon that you must purchase.

Are you running trixbox Pro or PBXtra? If so log into your control panel via cp.trixbox.com or cp.fonality.com and download from there.
If you are running trixbox CE, HUD3 has not been released yet.

As for the Hybrid hosting model for licensing?... Why not have the HUD server manage that. Put in a license key there, and have HUD validate from the HUD server.
PS - I'm still willing to beta test if necessary.

I think I speak for the entire trixbox CE community when say that HUD3 will be provide a great set of features and bummer that its not out yet. I would also really like to say THANK YOU for all the work you do. Its one thing to be dissapointed about FREE software not being done as scheduled; its another thing to complain about waiting for something that is free.
As for me, I can't do the programming myself so I'm just going to say thank you and try to be patient.
