I am attempting to install trixbox pro 1.1.1 or 1.0. Both installs result in the same error, unable to login after first boot. No activation screen.
I am able to drop into single user mode and create a user to login with.
When I search the file directory I do not find any folders/files referencing trixbox or fonality.

Downloaded the ISO several times.
I have restalled this a dozen times.

HELP!

digitaldiablo, What error

digitaldiablo,

What error are you receiving?

If possible, can you set up a root password in single user mode and PM me ssh access to investigate further?

Thanks,
samy

Sounds like an error during

Sounds like an error during the install is causing the setup scripts to bork up so you are getting a clean install and none of the software is being loaded.

Work around

I have found a desent work around. The error seems to be caused by incompatible CD/DVD ROMs. I have been able to activate when using newer optical drives. Additionally it will not completely install ( the reason you can't activate) if the set up doesn't find compatible hardware. trixbox doesn't have super high end requirements but it does like newer hardware vs. holder stuff.

FYI

We found a workaround as well. It does appear the scripts are failing even though the drivers are all there. On the first reboot when the script fails you are redirected to the console login. Login as root. Mount the cdrom via nfs. Execute /Fonality/activate.pl.
