Hi, I am going to deploy Trixbox Pro for my client. But I have some doubt on the their scenario case, and hope to get some information from you all.

1. My client is a long establish insurance company, and intend to move into VoIP era. Let say, they currently having 6 lines (at HQ building), 4 for general use, 1 line dedicated to towing and 1 for claim. If we install Trixbox Pro, all these 6 line will be connect to Trixbox. In normal cases, public called any of these 6 lines, will be prompt for the IVR and will direct to their desire department. But in my case, does trixbox able to do this? : customer call the towing number and Trixbox able to skip the root IVR, immediately direct the customer call to towing department ? (and same go for claim)

2. for Trixbox Pro CCE, it mention that it can do a live recording for agent base, can this also able to do with Extension base? Mean admin able to configure the trixbox to do a live recording base on ext number?

3. Currently my client HQ seperate into TWO building (quite a far distance). 1 building is for Operator, Towing and claim department. Another building is for TeleMarketting and sales agent. Now, Can it deploy under 1 trixbox Pro? (because they would like to use a common number to get into their operator, sales and telemarketing). I am thinking of making the telemarketing building as telecommuter, but, i afraid that when Internet Access down at telemarketing building, the whole telemarketing building become inaccessible. What is the best way of deploy base on this limitation?

Hope to get some advice base on the situation. Thank you.

Both Pro and CE would do

Both Pro and CE would do exactly what you are looking for.

I can only speak to CE, which has full featured IVR. Certainly you do not have to listen to the entire message to be transfered. You can also add a route based on DID so the same six lines could be used for each department. You can route on each individual phone number assigned to the entire group of 6 numbers (this works for ISDN circuits (PRI or BRI) and for SIP trunks)

You did not mention what type of network exists between the two buildings and how many extensions are in each building.

There is a Matrix on the site with the features of Pro and CE. Suggest you click on products and take a look at what it can do.

thank skyking~~~ for that

thank skyking~~~

for that two building, both having a ASDL Internet connectivity (These two building don't link together)
The only way to link this two building is through WAN

at first actually we plan to put a Trixbox at both of the building
but if like that, public would need to remember two number (one for each building), whereas their intention is to keep only 1 number, that able to link to the other building.
Currently setting is, Operator/Claim/Towing building having 20 ext, and Telemarketing building having 10 ext

I am thinking of making the Telemarketing building as Telecommuter
But if WAN connectivity down, this mean Telemarketing building become inaccessible, they cannot call out or receive any call.

Is Trixbox able to do the below situation:
Building A is HQ and the trixbox act as the main PATX box (6 line).
Building B is HQ-2, the trixbox here act as a hub only (with 2 line).

if public call, they call to Building A, from the IVR, trixbox route the call to Building B (transparent to public) using VoIP.
if happen that Internet Access Down at building B, Building A's Trixbox will route the call to Building B using Ordinary Telephone line.

is this possible?
