2.3.0 XML Scripts Broken with 3.2.0 Firmware?

Has anyone else had any issues with the 2.3.0 XML scripts running against 3.2.0.x phone firmware (on 57i/57iCT).

Recently did some updates to a customer's system to try and fix another problem and started to have an issue here with the vmail.php script trying to transver to "VMAIL" then throwing an "address incomplete" and then dropping out of the script if you tried to play a voicemail that was in a user's mailbox. Reverted a test phone back to the 2.6 firmware and the problem seems to have gone away. To be honest I didn't test any of the other scripts to see if they had problems as well, as the voicemail one has been a show-stopper.

Re: scripts broken with firmware 3.2.0

Hi Mike,

You are right, some scripts are broken with the new phone firmware as we changed some of the mechanisms in the phone for XML, we did not have the time to provide the fixes for the scripts as we were waiting for 3.2.1 (to be released next week) as it brings some significant enhancements mainly on the 6739i.
So we will beta the new version of the scripts 2.3.1 very soon to work with any firmware version from 2.6.0. The issues were located in the visual VM and parking but it is fixed now.
Be patient, it will come soon.

Regards

thanks

Thanks please post as soon as you have the beta of the new scripts available, or PM me if you need a pre-beta guinea pig site. The customer's setup is already broken, so even beta scripts are bound to work better GRIN!. As long as I can get their voicemail script working again they'll be off my back for a while :-)

BTW, might also be nice to have a copy of the more current released scripts (ie 2.3.0) available on the Aastra website... if I recall the latest posted there for Trixbox are still 2.2.

Any ETA on the updated XML scripts?

Any ETA on the updated XML scripts? Customer is getting impatient and I really don't want to have to go around and downgrade the firmware on 30 phones if I can possibly avoid it.

updates

I second the request for the 2.3.1 scripts. I have also continued to purchase aastra phones because of the scripts, and have more deployments coming up soon.

We need these updated

We need these updated scripts ASAP! Especially for 6739i's which don't work that well with the older 2.6 firmware.

I have tested my current XML scripts with firmware version 3.2.1.1013 and have noticed the following bugs:
1. Vmails are not marked as read after listening via Visual Vmail
2. Unable to delete vmails from Visual Vmail
3. Call Park key results in "Transfer Failed"

Beta of new XML scripts available

There is a beta of the 2.3.1 scripts posted here... http://pbxinaflash.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10179 which will supposedly work for Trixbox as well. I have not had the time to test it yet, but its on my to-do pile over the next few days.

my 2cents

Let me chime in with some other observations. Didn't realize that 3.2 would cause issues. Updated one phone, found that Day / Night XML would not work properly either.

Reverted back to 2.6. Quick question -- if we have a mixed environment (e.g. 2.6.x and 3.2.x) will the new version of the XML scripts play nice, or will we have to update the whole system. I'm primarily thinking of one location which has 100 extensions. Can't see resetting the all and hoping for the best!

Hmm, actually it all seems

Hmm, actually it all seems to be working fine for me now. I don't know what caused the issue in my former post but it went away on it's own! (Maybe a reload?)

I should also point out that

I should also point out that the phones all seem to want a reboot after downloading the configs from the TFTP server, but they don't do it automatically. When a phone is first provisioned it looks ready to go until you press the Options key; it then asks if you want to reboot the phone. Anybody else noticing this?
