Can anyone point me in the right direction of how to get this working? So far I haven't been able to figure out how to start. Anyone?

RTFM

Have you read the release notes for the 6739i ?

Thanks

No, I didn't realize they discussed the pic ID. Thanks! I've seen a lot of your posts, I appreciate you replying. I've been in the ISP business a long time, only been in the VoIP arena for about a year or so, so still kind of learning.

I have to ask a sarcastic

I have to ask a sarcastic question. Did you not have to read the manuals for the the ISP equipment and software?

I have been in the ISP business since the mid 90's. Back then all of our servers where FreeBSD. I remember building the first kernel by hand. Lots of reading.

Actually

I swear, sendmail, bind, even portmasters were more intuitive than SIP to me, on some level any way.

We where never a portmaster

We where never a portmaster shop. Went from Xyplex term servers and Hayes modem banks to 3COM total control chassis. I still love the TC's

I know that Aastra hid the docs well >

If you look at the call flows on the IETF SIP page it will make things easier. It's formatted like HTML.

Of course it helps when I was at Motorola out team was a large contributor to the SIP standards, I got to study under Uri Baniel (Mr. SIP) see his websites at www.sipcenter.com and www.sipknowledge.com.

Right on

Very cool!

I started at small regional ISP's in New England, and ultimately ended up at UUNET in sales engineering. I work with some ex-UUNET people now (part time) for a comapny called WiTopia in Northern VA.

I've been a geek way too long so this stuff comes relatively easy but SIP can be frustrating, mostly due to NAT issues.

BTW: Portmaster sucked.

Only Country ID

Hi guys!

I just wanted to find out if there were any updates on this. I have installed the Picture ID stuff and it seems to work, however, the pictures for specific phone numbers don't seem to be showing. If I change the setting of the file name to one of the existing pictures that came with the install, it seems to work.

I'm not sure what information you would need, so feel free to give me a shout and I'll provide. :D
