Aastra Scripts 2.3.0 / CE 2.6.2 -- question - how to sync day/night status with * codes?

I have an install as described above, 2.3.0 scripts with CE2.6.2. Customer loves the phone system. When I did the installation, I noted that if the Day/Night was toggled using a star code (e.g. *280), the status on the LCD's of the phones did not change (e.g., they still showed the system being in night mode, though it wasn't). If I restarted the phone(s), they would come up in the right status.

I took the easy way out, and disabled the *28 feature code, which forces the users to use a phone and XML scripts to toggle day night. Normally this wouldn't be a problem (I have several accounts configured this way), but they have requested a new feature that will require me to somehow keep the display synced with the feature code toggle.

The customer would like a separate day/night for inclement weather, from off site. I envisioned using an IVR menu to permit them to update the appropriate recording, then have menu options so they could toggle the normal day/night to day (e.g. *280) and then another option to switch to night mode for the alternate day/night (e.g. *281).

All of that is pretty straight forward, but I need to make sure that when they return that the phones accurately depict the correct state day / night indexes. Is there a way I can force a system wide update of the day /night status to the Aastra phones? With 93 extensions, I can't just restart the phones!

Help? Any input, suggestions, thoughts, etc. greatly appreciated. I need to get this functional prior to the snow season hitting (any day now!)

Thanks

Scott

any one?

Any ideas anyone? I had tried enabling devstate, but that seemed to mess up other BLF's, so I put back to disabled. I see that the URI Polling Interval, which is set in aastra.cfg (and then the mac configs) is set for 1800 seconds (30 min).

Would there be any problems to reduce this to say 5 mins (or 2 minutes for that matter)?

Aastra, thoughts?

Scott
